Spiritually Speaking, Are Seventh Day Adventists close ...

Do a very good job sharing Biblical truth about Daniel and Bible Prophecy, as well as putting the Pope and his Catholic minions in their place, but how come they haven’t opened their eyes to the MYSTERY of Babylon? The mystery Trinity God?

I am still trying to figure out if they are Jews or Christians… they can’t seem to grasp the fact that the Old Law was fulfilled and replaced by the New Covenant of Christ and want to follow parts of the Old Law that they pick and choose… strange… it is clearly stated in the New Testament that “sabbath” days do not have to be observed any longer and that holding people to such things is wrong.

Do a good job putting Catholics in their place? I’ll admit their pontificating tickles a bit, but I know of no Catholic that has ever felt put in their place by an SDA.

    You are funny….

and seem to forget that Christ kept the 7th day Sabbath and told us to look ahead and be ready for the Advent of his coming again. SDA follows Christ and The Bible…

so what exactly are you trying to say??

I personally think that when the saved get to heaven that they are going to be very surprised at who some of their neighbors are.And who’s missing. God knows the individuals “thoughts and intents of the heart” and does not have to rely on others testimony or what group they were affiliated with.He knows who is actually trusting in him not a “religious organization”.I know people in the sda church that I would be very surprised from my point of view if they are not saved and some people in my denomination that I would be surprised if they are. however thank God it’s not my place to decide that. …………..Micah if you see this I would love for you to send me some new testament references to Camo@blomand.net. thanks

Ellen Gould White (1827-1915) was an American Christian leader whose ministry led to the rise of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. In her letter of April 7, 1847, White wrote of one of her visions:

Jesus opened them, and I saw the ten commandments written on them with the finger of God. On one table was four, and on the other six. The four on the first table shone brighter than the other six. But the fourth (the Sabbath commandment) shone above them all; for the Sabbath was set apart to be kept in honor of God’s holy name. The holy Sabbath looked glorious – a halo of glory was all around it. … I saw that God had not changed the Sabbath, for He never changes. But the Pope had changed it from the seventh to the first day of the week; for he was to change times and laws.

For the entire letter, see: http://www.earlysda.com/flock/lflock-egwhite.html

For almost all Christians (including Catholics), the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on the first day of the week (Sunday) replaces the Sabbath as the day of ceremonial observance of the Commandment to keep the Lord’s Day holy.

The Catholic Church follows the teaching and practice of the Apostles. In the 20th chapter of the Act of the Apostles, the church in Troas gathered on the first day of the week, Sunday.

The first Christians were Jews. They went to temple or synagogue on the Sabbath (Saturday) with fellow Jews.

Then they gathered on the first day of the week, the day on which Jesus rose from the dead (Sunday), with fellow Christians to tell stories of Jesus and share Eucharist. See Acts 20:7.

Later Gentiles joined Christianity. The Apostles, filled with the Holy Spirit, decided that the Gentiles did not have to covert to Judaism. Therefore, they only attended on Sundays and did not have to abide by Jewish dietary laws.

This biblical practice inspired by the Holy Spirit has been followed ever since.

    With love in Christ.

Seventh Day Adventists R not Christians, they are a cult! Christians in the light that hold Jesus as Lord know them as such! Jesus said in the last days many people would deceive and be deceived!
True christians know exactly what God said, what He meant, and what they are supposed to do!
Christians in the light that hold Jesus as Lord, know God better then anybody they’ve ever met before they became a christian, and after they became one! They know how God thinks, and know there’s no confusion with God, just like it says in the bible. The SDA are confused about things in Gods word, and like the Jehovah’s witnesses make up things! In these last days, unless a person’s in the light, they won’t know who the real Christians are,the ones that are going in the rapture! This is pointed out in the King James bible in many ways!

That was a fun question. The SDA’s do have one thing going for them, the truth about the Rapture, and Hellfire.

Everyone seems to see the fault of others, and yet are full of them also. Funny how Catholics hit against them, when they are nothing but error. Not one single apostle said Sunday is a day of rest or worship. They worshipped and worked every single day, as also did Jesus.

Did none of you ever read, I mean REALLY read John 5? Take a good look
It proves without a doubt that Jesus did NOT keep any weekly ‘sabbath’. It proves that the Father never did such a thing either.

It proves by this, that God has not reached his seventh day yet. So to set up Saturday as his Sabbath is flat denying Gods truth and taking things right out of God’s hand. God needs no weekly resting. When he goes to REST, it will be eternal.

Now to come along later, and claim that someone changed it from Saturday to Sunday is a double error. It was never Saturday. And it most certainly is not Sunday.

Both are just man’s foolish twisting of God’s truth.

John 5: 17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto , and I work . 18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

Jesus had just finished healing a man and told this man, on their Sabbath, to TAKE UP YOUR BED AND WALK.
Now the Jews were heated up over this and rebuked this man for WORKING ON THEIR SABBATH.

When they found Jesus, he told them, My Father works hitherto and I work. Neither one of them, Father or Jesus, had taken any Saturday REST. Neither one of them had reached their Sabbath, yet. They were both still working and not finished yet.
They did not TAKE UP ANY WEEKLY SABBATH.

So to do this, is making up your own religion and not knowing one thing about God’s truth.

The only rest recorded in Scripture is in Isa 28. For with stammering lips and another tongues will I speak to this people, to whom he said, THIS IS THE REST. This is the refreshing.
    Yet THEY would not hear.

They full-well reject God’s truth and God true REST = baptism of Holy ghost.

God’s REST is every day, all day, in ones heart/soul. It will live eternally. This is what the Apostles knew and why they worked 7 days a week; why Jesus worked 7 days a week. It has nothing to do with weekly days or earthly rest/work.

Only those of us who receive the Holy Ghost and know this is our REST, have it or the true Sabbath. It will be given to this entire earth. Isa 14. The whole earth is at REST and is quiet.
Now, that is Sabbath. and neither adventist, Baptists, Catholics or any others HAVE IT.

All you have is man-made error for doctrine. trinity? Not one single word of such error in Scripture, yet almost all of you uphold this LIE. So you have no REST TO YOUR SOUL.

  13. Daniel says:

    June 25th, 2010 at 10:36 pm

They are far off base because they try to hold onto the old covenant with the new. Col. 2:14-16 and Romans 14 tells us that the Mosaic ordinanaces were canceled on the cross. That includes dietary restrictions, how to observe the Sabbath, or any of the how to’s. But SDA’s still following these things in the old covenant. Romans 14 shows it’s okay to observe the Sabbath at a particular time, or not observe that particular day at all. Col 2 tells us not to judge others regarding Sabbath observance.

SDAs have a true church mentality. In end time prophecies they claim that the mark of the beast will be sunday worship, which will be forced on them, the true church which keeps the correct Sabbath, by the sunday crowd.

In salvation they believe that Satan was the scape goat in scripture, and in the atonement Satan was co-bearer of our sins along with Christ.

They believe in soul sleep, that the dead have no conscious, and they don’t believe in any kind of spiritual existence outside of this physical body. But we read in 2 Peter 3:18ff that while Jesus’ physical body laid in the grave, as a spirit, he went and preached to the spirits in prison, some of which had died in Noah’s flood.

Perhaps you attended their Revelation siminar, and not being as grounded as you should be, have bought into their teachings. You only get their slant.
